Let's start a conversation
I help software companies pressure-test big deals, organisations check platform purchases and renewals, and people prepare for difficult platform situations.

Based in Melbourne
Working with clients in Australia and overseas.
Outside business hours
Advisory work runs outside business hours alongside my full-time role.
I reply personally
Send a short note about what you're working on and your timeframe.
Other conversations welcome
Executive recruiters, technology leaders and podcast or event hosts are welcome too.
Start with the decision in front of you
A few lines is plenty. I read every message myself.
What you can expect
No commissions, resale or implementation partners behind the advice.
Fixed fee, agreed upfront. No open-ended engagements.
Advice from someone running enterprise platforms right now.
Before you get in touch
3 things, each built around a decision that's coming up.
Big deal coming up? Pitch it to me first and I'll push back the way your buyer will, then we fix the weak answers together. That's the Deal Pressure Test.
Buying or renewing a platform? I'll give you an independent check before you sign, whether it's a new platform or a contract renewal: what's likely to be underestimated, what to push back on, and what becomes your problem after go-live.
BA or product owner stepping into platform leadership? In the Platform Leadership Lab we practise the conversations the job description doesn't teach, from vendor escalations to your first steering committee.
You send the material first: a deck, proposal, contract, implementation plan or a real situation you’re facing. I prepare on my own, then we work through it live. For a Deal Pressure Test that's a 90-minute session where you pitch to me, followed by a one-page list of the top 5 objections with a stronger answer to each. For a Second Opinion it's a 60 to 90 minute session and a short note with a clear verdict. For the Platform Leadership Lab it's 4 sessions of 60 minutes one-to-one, or a small group once 8 people have registered.
The session is the part that matters. You could ask an AI to play a sceptical CIO, and honestly you'd get some useful feedback. What it can't give you is a real buyer pushing back on your answers, or how enterprise buying actually works in Australia.
Fees are fixed and agreed upfront, and every engagement includes a short follow-up after you act. I share pricing once we’ve talked through what you need.
Yes. I don't take commissions, resell software or have implementation partners to steer you towards. There's no bigger engagement waiting behind the advice, so there's no reason for me to recommend more than you need. Fees are fixed, never a share of savings.
Yes. I lead enterprise platforms full-time, and that comes first. It means my advice comes from doing the work, not remembering it.
Advisory work is selective, fixed in scope and done outside my day job. I don't take on work involving organisations I deal with through my employment, or that are in a procurement with my employer.
I started as a developer, moved into business analysis, then into product ownership and technology management. I spent 15 years at ANZ running talent and learning platforms for 55,000 staff across 33 countries, including a learning platform launched to 43,000 people in 9 months.
Along the way I've built digital products from scratch and mentored start-up founders. So I've sat on both sides of the table.
Yes. I'm always glad to talk with executive recruiters and technology leaders about enterprise applications and platform leadership, even if it's just to compare notes.
Yes, where the topic fits. I'm most useful on what happens after the contract is signed: vendor relationships, renewals, go-lives, and what AI is actually changing inside the platforms you already run.
